Friends and Network

Better together:

  • I have brought together a group of experts and practitioners from a wide and diverse range of fields and backgrounds, all linked with the same philosophy of wanting to get the very best out of people. The network of Friends I am able to draw on means we are able to cover a wide range of projects and challenges in a flexible and efficient way, but with a common approach and mindset – the customer and colleague come first.

  • I have built our network across a range of industries and organisations. Much of my experience has been associated with Barclays, and that’s where I am grateful to have “learnt my craft”. But that doesn’t mean we are all bankers. I have been lucky enough to work with many people across a range of industries and organisations where we have met and worked with many of our “friends”.

  • The organisations I have worked with include universities, researchers, schools, tech start-ups, major corporations worldwide, charities, local and regional governments, NGOs and individuals. Some of the many organisations outside of banking (in which we retain many relationships) with which we have worked with include; The BBC (on the Microbit project), Freeformers (Digital Eagles), UCL, Cambridge and Huddersfield and many other universities in the UK and overseas (directly and through ConceptionX), Regional Innovation Ecosystem Leaders (including Codebase, Tramshed, C4DI and many others across the UK), Charities and not for profits, high growth companies in many sectors through the Eagle Lab network, large corporations and Government departments, consultancies and experts in many areas focussed on colleague and customer engagement, including; Sir John Timpson, Julian Richer and The Foundation.

I have been lucky enough over the last thirty years of work inside and outside Barclays to build a trusted network of friends who I believe can help organisations and people.

We know we aren’t perfect and don’t have all the answers, but we believe we can add something special to what you are trying to achieve.

The organisations I have worked with, helped and supported, had an official role with (as a NED or Chair, or visiting professor in the case of Huddersfield University, or Fellow, in the case of IET and CSAP), or spoken at by invitation (such as MIT and Stanford Universities), have helped shape my network, experience and knowledge.

Organisations I have engaged with:

(either led, been a partner of, been employed by, given presentations for, volunteered for, learnt from through conversations with founders, or, advised.)
